In a move straight out of a communist playbook, Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) today called for a government takeover of oil refineries. Fox News is reporting that in a press briefing today, Hinchey said, "We [the government] should own the refineries. Then we can control how much gets out on the market."
Hugo Chavez would be proud.

Yeah, that's the way Maurice, everything the government controls is SO GREAT, like education, the postal service, social security, etc. Why don't we try less government regulations and drilling here in the US, while we look for alternative fuels.?
Look in the mirror, Maurice and say, I must try to use my brain!
