In what should come as a shock to no one, but may actually shock some of you "moderates" and "independents" who fell under the spell of Obamamania in 2008 and created the current one-party federal government in Washington, the Democrats are raising taxes on "almost everyone." Yes, indeed. I'm not kidding. If Congress doesn't pass a bill to keep taxes at their current levels by the end of 2010 yet the Democrats who possess overwhelming majorities (for now) in both houses of Congress have "abandoned plans to vote before Election Day" on the issue. (Link to story here.)That leaves your wallet in the hands of a lame duck session that will still be led by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. In other words, don't hold your breath.
