Just in case you thought the election of Barack Obama didn't matter, John Paul Stevens, the Supreme Court's oldest and probably its most liberal member is retiring at the end of this term. (Link to story here.)Here's hoping that Obama makes as big a "mistake" picking a replacement as Gerald Ford made when he appointed Stevens in 1975.
